From Tradition to Modern Craft

Kisasacraft, translating to modern crafts, signifies the revitalization of African
craftsmanship in the context of the contemporary world. The Kisasacraft
Community-Based Organization (CBO) took root in 2022, initiated by
and committed refugees residing in Kasarani, Nairobi, Kenya. At its inception,
David Mirindi, the visionary founder, conceived the idea and collaborated
with three other members who shared his passion. Together, they embarked
on a mission to infuse a modern touch into traditional African crafts,
breathing new life into these age-old practices. This led to the birth of Kisasacraft Shop.
